Windows Virtual PC - (Win Pro 64bit main OS / Win Pro 32bit as the virtual)

Problem: The only way i can get drive shares to work is if i also select the C:/

see screenshot: http://i59.tinypic.com/wb88cy.jpg

In the above, even though D:/ is ticked the D:/ drive isn't visible to the virtual. I have to tick C:/ to get any other drives to be visible to the virtual PC.

I have tried formatting the D:/ and reloading the Virtual PC but the problem remains. I really do not like having the C:/ open to the virtual PC.

Anyone come across this?

I am not at the office so I can see the Options on my VM and I know very little about VMs as well but, if I have understood your conundrum, your problem lies on the fact that the C drive (the host) must be ticked in order for you to see the other drivers.

That or you must map them like you would other network drives.

Good Luck nonetheless.

Thanks for the reply. When you enable integration features this should handle all the mapping. I re-installed the VM from scratch and had the same problem. There was no obvious reason for it.
I concluded it was just one of those weird unexplainable windows issues. Reformatting/reinstalling the full OS solved it.
