I don't know whether i'm in true place or not, however, i faced with an error while i was installing ubuntu alongside windows 7 (on same drive) afterwards, i restarted and windows 7 has made a couple of hdd check tests. After i logged in, i checked hdd storage and it was decreased by size of partition i separated for ubuntu as i expected. i don't know how to fix it and i will be very appreciated if you can help. thanks anyway

Use the "disk management" (type this into the start menu) console to view the partitions on the drive. You will be able to delete the partition you set aside for ubuntu. With the Unallocated space you can do what you wish, create a windows partition or resize your existing partition into into etc.
