Hi,

Laptop screen broken (connect with external monitor still able to use) so i want transfer to new laptop. I remove the HDD and install to external casing (turn to portable HDD) for transfer but when i connect to new laptop, it show the drive become RAW format and click on it ask for format. (if i install back to original laptop, it able to access to windows 7 without problem).

Any idea? Else need to waste time transfer out with extra portable HDD and transfer in new laptop.

Thanks

The casing may have a propriatery software/encryption which causes it to be seen as RAW.

Can you not transfer via network? Put the HDD back in your laptop and use external monitor, share the HDD and copy to new laptop.
