Solved HDMI 1080P Doesent fill the screen

Hi so i just bought a Benq 21.5" monitor 1080P with HDMI, VGA, DVI inputs
I would use DVI if my laptop had one but unfortunatly not, The only outputs are VGA and HDMI, I whant 2 monitors so i use VGA on my 1600x900 Monitor becouse its the only input on the monitor, And hdmi on my New monitor, But i can only use 1600x900 resulotion there too to fill the screen wich is very annoying becouse the quality sucks, VGA works with 1080P but the performance compared to HDMI and the qualit compared to HDMI is terrible, So what do i do? get an HDMI to VGA adapter for my secondare monitor and use VGA on the new monitor even if the quality sucks or just live with it untill i can upgrade my Desktop pc so i accually have DVI out?

Reason why i bought a 21.5" monitor when i could by a much better one? Becouse the Benq was a used one that i got for really cheap so yeah, Its very nice for its very cheap prize

right click your desktop, click screen resolution

Hi yeah i know how i do that but i kinda fixed it, I looked around and found info and apparatly its a 1680x1050 even if the specs says 1920x1080, So its fullacreen now, but i cant auto adjust the sharpness thing so it a bit blurry, but i can change it when i have VGA and hopefully on DVI.

Hey i fixed it, This problem seems to ucoor on setups with amd graphics, So first if you get this problem, Go into the CCC / Catalyst control centre, Then go to Desktop and Monitors, then my digital flatscreen monitors, Then into scaling alternatives, Then drag the bar to 0%
If this doesent work becouse the bar is grey you will have to go into the registry optimiser, Search on google to find out where. i cant help you, i had to do it but i dont remember how

Hi there.

Most of the newer monitors will have something like "Auto Re-size" or Adjust in the Picture menu -- you might have to enable that from the monitors remote control.

If using HDMI you should also set the picture to appear only on that monitor (Win + P keys to select monitors).

My monitor is not very new and i had to go to regedit to enable size changing in the catalyst control centre
