Headphones/Headsets not working

The speakers of my laptop are working properly but when i use headphones then it doesn't work. I checked the playback devices but headsets/headphones are not in the list, there is only speakers.

How to solve this problem. please help

Maybe your headsets are broken? My headset broke the other day too. .
