Hi,

My headphones are not working for specific programs such as Windows Media Player, KM Player, Audacity, etc. but work perfectly fine for a lot of other programs such as Youtube and online sites.

The sound for these programs work fine on my laptop's built-in speakers; just not on my headphones.

This problem started since this afternoon, when I was trying to record audio from my Microsoft Lifecam VX-3000. Maybe the webcam is related to my sound problems?

My laptop is a Gateway NV53.

Thanks very much for your time!

Hiya pal and welcome to the forums :)

What have you got set as the default audio device for each of the programs you mentioned ?
