Hi Gilly,

I have bad news for you. You do need to buy another psu, not just for the missing connections, but I saw in your specs it's a 240watts.

That is never going to work for a Quad core, the new graphicscard and all the other stuff.

I recommend at least a 450 or 500 watts model.

They are not that expensive nowadays.

If you want further help on putting this together, please make pictures of all your parts, and I will write you a tutorial, ok?

You can PM me if you want.

Good luck,

Greetz.

you are certainly right when you say you will need a new psu, at least 500W to be on the safe side.

see the picture below to see what needs to be plugged into your card - 2 x 6-pin power connectors.

all modern psu's will come with at least one as standard, and most graphic cards come with an adapter included in the box which will fit onto either a spare sata or molex cable from your psu.

the skinny black one is sata, the chunkier white is molex.

hope this helps!

(ps - i'm off to bed now as it's nearly 1am over here, so i can't reply for a few hours - but as you know, there are a lot of helpful folks here who can assist you :))

**oh, someone got there first - good luck**

yes i know ineed psu thats what im asking for advise buying one from

Cheap Computer Power Supplies at Ebuyer - Huge Range In Stock Now!

this site but im unsure what connections i need

Ok, sorry, didn't get that from your question, I thought you were asking what the connections mean. lol :D

Mickey did a great job with the pictures.

Don't worry, like he said, all the modern PSU's have all the necessary connections.

But if I have to pick a few personal favourite brands, I would say Enermax, Coolermaster or Sharkoon.

Also make sure you buy some extra 9 or 12cm cooling fans (which ever suite your case), because with the new PSU, the Quadcore and the new Graphics, it's gonna get hot in there.

Good luck.

PM me if you need help putting it together.

Greetz

No extra cables required. (i assume the you already have the sata disk to mainboard cables).

After installing, check your temperatures, and install extra cooling fans that get the warm air out before it gets too hot in there.

Good luck.

No exit holes with four screwholes at the back of your case?

Maybe then you need another case too. This is a powerful machine you are putting together, and good cooling is necessary.

You have to measure the distance between two holes.
That tell you the size of the fan.

They can be 6,7,8,9 or 12 cm.

Make sure you measure for example the distance between left upper to right upper hole, or left upper to left lower lower. Not left upper to right lower.

I hope you know what i mean. :D

Yeah, I considered that option. And surprisingly skipping quad cores and going non-sli with low end video cards seemed like a great option :D
