Solved Help, I screwed up my Windows boot manager!

Then make it a camera snap of the maximized drive map and listings on free Partition Wizard bootable CD.

Then wipe the HD after highlighting it and selecting Quick wipe from Disk tab. Create and format a Primary NTFS partition for install, rightclick it to Modify>Set to Active, OK, Apply.

Dude, I don't think you understand, i'm on unbuntu I don't have a clue how to "camera snap" iv'e tried installing Windows 1000s of times, the disks just DON'T LOAD i've tried change the booting order in bios selecting boot device by pressing f12, the disks just DON'T load.

Fixed it by borrowing a system repair disk and doing
bootrec /fixmbr
bootrec /fixboot
Then doing a system restore.
Going to do your idea and delete the Unbuntu partitions and just have 1 big Windows partition, thanks for you help.

I still think your best bet was the Ubuntu forums. They would be more familliar with the linux utilities and can better instruct you in how to use them.

And they havebeen working with dual boot systems for a long time.

So what was it I didn't understand again? That you needed a System Repair disk as suggested in my first post?

That's an old school fix that might have missed other fixes needed all of which are automated in Startup Repair - Run 3 Separate Times .

For example it will NOT rewrite the System Recovery Options to F8 Advanced Boot Options which link is lost when Linux messes up the Win7 boot.

We still need to see a Disk Mgmt screenshot to check the configuration is correct. We don't do sloppy work here, which is why we are the best at this on the web. If you want partitioning changes let us know and we will give you the steps.

Yeah, I completely screwed up my system once by installing Ubuntu and GRUB overwrote my whole bootloader. I was able to fix it by using bootrec

And you lost the System Recovery options which Win7 writes to F8 Advanced boot tools when installed, which is why the only comprehensive fix is to mark Win7 or it's 100mb System Reserved partition (preferred) Active then run Startup Repair up to 3 separate times. Mark Partition Active

Even when thoroughness is stressed, someone suggests a shortcut. Sloppy.
