Solved Help in connecting my GTX 660 to an older CRT TV

Hey guys,

So I want to connect my old CRT television to my GTX 660, just for movies as it's a bigger screen than my current monitor. Currents I have my monitor alone connected to the graphics card via HDMI.

What I would like some advice on, is what cables/hardware should I use and what method is best (HDMI to RCA or S-Video etc). Also, would the quality be really bad or just a little off?

Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.

What inputs are available on your TV? It's unlikely to have digital inputs but I have seen some older CRT TVs with VGA inputs (VGA is considered an analog signal).

If it has only S-video or composite (RCA) inputs then you'll need a converter like badger906 said.

Best to worst quality would be VGA, S-video, composite.

At Standard Definition, the picture quality would be about equivalent to a stand-alone DVD player.

Hey guys sorry for taking so long to reply, Um yes it has RCA (White,yellow,red) and S-Video at the back. So i'm guessing to get a HDMI to RCA converter box and use that. What say you? Something like this

That converter should work. Use the S-video connector for best video quality. You'll still need to use the Red and White RCA connectors to get the audio.

Thank you for the reply, just to confirm..I'm using HDMI from my graphics card -> converter -> s-video to tv and RCA white and red also. Yea?
