Need some help in fully uninstalling a program from Win7. I had a copy of Acronis TrueImage Backup program installed and wanted to fully uninstall it. But some portions of it still remains? I did the following:

- I uninstalled the program via the Control Panel Uninstall function and it removed the program from it installed location in the Program Files location as expected.

- But later, I found that some Data/Features from the program remain in a folder under: C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome.

- Tried to go ahead and delete this "Acronis" folder, but it appears to have something running that keeps putting entries in it's "Logs" subfolder.

- So, the Folder Delete function would not work and I could not delete this folder.

- So, how can I delete this folder and be completely clear of TrueImage?

Would really appreciate any instructions/tips/suggestions on how to resolve this issue.

Thanks for any insights!

Hi Gumboman,

Control Panel >> Administration tool.>>
services- scroll thru look for any related then highlight Right click dissable
System config services (tick hide MS) uncheck any related
Task Scheduler look in local highlight any found then in right hand pane delete.

To remove everything from a deleted program one must search the registry.

**Be very careful in doing this**

When messing with the registry one can make a door stop out of their computer.

Using programs like Hijackthis should be use by those that have the knowledge needed or under supervision of one that does.
