I think I've got a virus because windows defender was turned off and I couldn't turn it back on. (plus many BSODs)

After a few restarts, the whole security center was turned off (and I couldn't turn it back on).

I loaded a system restore point and it turned the security center back on, but the BSODs keep happening and I can't run malwarebytes anti-malware without getting a BSOD. (even in safe mode)

I've attached the zip of the sevenforums folder that sf diagnostic tools created.

note: I can't seem to attach the file! it gets stuck at 79% and goes back to 0% (it's a 48mb file)

I ended up simply reinstalling windows fresh and it fixed the problem.

I've learned my lesson and am now on the hunt for good security software before I start installing stuff from questionable sources.

any suggestions for a tutorial or guide on setting up a fresh install of windows 7 all badass-ly =)

I'd love suggestions for good "computer maintenance/security" software. I know about malwarebytes anti-malware, ccleaner, and spybot S&D. Is there anything else I should install (and is there a place that already has answers to these questions so I'm not wasting anybody's time)

thanks!
