Oh ****, I can't even get XP working properly on this thing .

After 3 clean installs of XP Pro, on each install I had issues installing the graphics driver, yet again. What's annoying is I'm using the correct XP driver for it, and its still not working.

At least my main system is working flawlessly, heh.

Oh well, I guess this box will sit in the corner useless until I can buy it a video card, that seems necessary now, lol......

Besides running download .exe in all XP Compatibility Modes, run the Setup.exe it unzips to the specified folder in those modes, too.

If this fails to install, next Browse to the driver folder from Device manager>Display adapter>Driver tab>Update driver to see if you can manually pick up the driver.

Okay guys, I know this thread is old, but I'm ready to purchase a graphics card. I'd like the cheapest one (don't need any special features, just one that works). I'd also prefer not a PCI-e since I'm not 100% sure the desktop has that slot.

@Bare Foot Kid, the link to that graphics card is no longer available, is there another option?

The least expensive PCI cards will cost more than the cheapest PCI-E cards that support Aero Glass effects. (Old tech increases in prices after it becomes unpopular. PCI was cutting edge, back in 1995.) Unfortunately, your Dimension 2350 only has PCI slots, according to support.dell.com.
