Hi ,

I don't believe you find will the Computer management snap -in on the Default list.

Type Computer Management in the start search box and see if it works from there.

This might have been caused by the installation of some other software maybe? I'm not having that issue (just this second checked)...

Try doing a Repair from your disk. That will patch up the registry...

Please compare the two pictures below:

1. The default (correct) one:
1.jpg

2. The defected one that causes the problem:
2.JPG

.........................................................................................................
If that's the reason .....ha, it will be easy to solve:

1. Open the 'Registry Editor' of your Win 7,

2. To the location:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\lnkfile

3. Choose 'lnkfile', and find whether there is a 'String Value' named 'IsShortCut' on the right colume.

4. If there exists not that 'String Value' named 'IsShortCut', please create one.

5. That's it.

........................................................................................................................
I sincerely hope the above iformation helps. If you cannot fix the problem with this way,
I'll be bewildered, too.
