   Information
Boot up using the Startup Repair CD or Windows 7 DVD. (not the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disk) If you have a Netbook, you will need a CD/DVD drive.
NOTE: Make sure no USB drives are plugged in.
Do not use a USB Pendrive for Startup Repair.

Do a Strartup Repair:

Note: You may need to do startup repair 3 to 4 times.

   Information
We always assume you have made your Recovery Disks using the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Media Creator app the first day you had your new PC.
& made the Startup Repair CD.

Did you make the OEM manufacturer's Recovery Disks?

Sorry. we didn't make any recovery disks. and thats why were in trouble...
however, we can't even restore our files back to the previous files.

Do you think my friend is unable to log on to his old win 7 OS, because of the newly installed one?
the current partitioned disk, which contains the newly installed win 7 is named recovery
and the old one os.

I suggest you download a light version of linux like puppy linux or linux mint.No need to install linux.Just boot from the linux CD and back up your important data from the old windows installation to any external HDD.Then use your Windows installation DVD to clean install windows.

Why did you not use the Recovery Partition to reinstall?

That should not be difficult if I understand your query right. Using a partition manager boot disk access the available partitions. Then delete the partition carrying the existing OS and poof, the OS is gone and its space becomes unallocated. Recreate a new partition on this unallocated space and there you are. Alternately reformat the partition with the existing OS and then too the OS is deleted and wiped out.

Please remember that when you do any of these two alternative all the data on the Drive is lost. So please save the data that you wish to retain from your existing OS drive elsewhere beforehand.

Why did you not use the Recovery Partition to reinstall?

I didn't really know about that.

However, i figured out how to reset my lost admin password in my old OS.
But, i can't access it as it shows a blue screen.
Is there a way i can delete windows 7 from the windows repair/install disk?

I think the existence of two Oses is making my main Os to how be a blue screen when i boot it.

Is there a way i can delete windows 7 from the windows repair/install disk?

Yes. If you mean get rid of the entire partition on which Windows 7 resides.

Diskpart command accessed by shift F10 at the language screen of the install disk.

If you post back a screenshot of your maximized Disk Management drive map and listings, we can give you the exact steps to do what you want. Use the Snipping Tool in Start Menu. Screen Shots

You can delete the old Win7 now in Disk Management, then Resize Win7 into the deleted space using free Partition Wizard bootable CD.

To attempt to repair the old Win7, On the newly installed Win7 generate a System Repair Disc - Create

Boot into it and see if it shows the old installation, highlight it, use Recovery Tools to run Startup Repair repeatedly.

If this fails boot back into Recovery Tools Command Line to mark old Win7 partition Active: Partition - Mark as Active. Then run up to 3 separate Startup Repairs to try to boot the old Win7.

Once it boots you can delete the new Win7.
