HELP NEEDED ASAP can my pc run 3 x 27" Acer K272HLBID led monitors??

hi all, im new not sure where to post this, im wondering if my pc would handle 3 x 27" Acer K272HLBID monitors Buy Acer K272HLBID 27 Inch HDMI LED Monitor at Argos.co.uk - Your Online Shop for PC monitors. (or bigger monitors)?? im using the resolution 1920 x 1080 on my single 40" led tv (its 1080p)

my pc has the following specs

Asus Maximus VII Ranger, SLI, CrossFireX, 6 SATA 6Gbps, 1 PCI-E M.2, SATA RAID, ATX motherboard

Intel Core i7 4790K, Haswell Refresh, Quad Core with Hyperthreading, 4GHz, 4.4GHz Turbo, 8MB Cache (overvclocked up to 4.6GHz)

16GB (2x8GB) Corsair Vengeance Pro, 2133MHz memory

2x 4GB EVGA GTX 970 SC ACX 2.0, 1165MHz GPU, 1664 Cores, 7010MHz GDDR5 in SLI

750W Corsair PSU

my 40" led tv went faulty and store will give me a credit note so thats whi i am asking about the monitors

the main games that i would play on 3 monitors are euro truck simulator 2, FSX (possibly x-plane 10), grid autosport, nascar 14, train simulator 2014/2015, titanfall and a few others

so can my pc handle it?? or what would be recommended??

thanks

depends what game. you have 2 GTX 970's so it will play them, how well, idk. TBH, i would just shoot for 2 1080p monitors instead of 3.

heres the benches with the reference cards:
GeForce GTX 970 SLI review - Introduction

Sorry but that is stupid advice. Have you ever tried gaming on 2 screens? You can't. Even if you can get the games to work with 2 screens, on FPS games the gun and main view point will be bang in the middle of where the 2 screens meet and you will be looking straight at the 2 screen borders. Same for racing games.

It's either 1 screen or 3 full stop.

And 2x 970s will be more than enough for 3 screens at 1920x1080 . 4GB of Vram will do the job a treat. The 970 is slightly more powerful than a 780 and 2 of them run 3 screens just fine.

thanks for advice, would 3 x 24" monitors make a difference (i.e better performance) than 3 x 27" monitors??

i dont want to get them and find out that the pc cant run the games on them lol coz i wont be able to take them back

No worries.

No, the screen size will make absolutely no difference to performance provided they are 1920x1080.

so does that mean set each monitor to 1920 x 1080 (if thats even possible, i have obviously never done more than one screen before)??

The actual resolution you will set will be 5760x1080 as it's 3x 1920 but I strongly suggest you do some research on how to connect all 3 screens up before you buy.
I am no expert on multi display setups but I can tell you 2x 970s will run games just fine on 3x 1920x1080p monitors.

Off to bed now. Maybe someone can advise you better on physical connections.

Yep, each one at 1920x1080.

nVidia is notorious for being a pain for setting up multi monitors from what I can remember.

does anybody know if connecting like this will work, im thinking connecting gpu 1 by hdmi to screen one, gpu 1 to screen two by dvi and the 3rd screen by gpu 2 by dvi or hdmi (each gpu has 1 hdmi port, 1 dvi-i port, 1 dvi-d port and 1 display port)

You'll have to look into multi monitor support at the nVidia website. It doesn't work like that I don't think, it's a right hassle getting a multi monitor setup with nVidia cards as I said earlier. You can't choose what ports to use, they do.

I know when i set up 2 Monitors Smart TV and my 27inch Viewsonic i had to plug in the HDMI while the card was running for it to recognize the second monitor this might be the key to when you install

Have the card running and the two other monitors plug them in One by One Via HDMI if you have 2 ports if not you will have to use DVI to VGA and Hdmi in combination to get the desired result

what about dvi and hdmi on one card for two monitors and on the second card dvi or hdmi for the final?? i guess ill probably have to play about with the cable connections to get it to work

23/24" displays will give you a little better picture quality @ 1080p than 27" monitors because of the pixel density. I only mention this if you are more interested in picture quality over screen size. Of course, there are 27" 2560x1440 displays that look absolutely amazing and that resolution is, in my opinion, quickly becoming the new HD standard.
