So how can I go about fixing it?

I would remove it at least to test or permanently if it is the cause. If it is critical I would update it to the newest version.

Your help is much appreciated.

Given that the hardware is about 2.5 years old it is something you probably installed. To uninstall it go into control panel>programs and features>find the program and click uninstall

You can try to find an updated version by googling it.

I downloaded the chipset from the Intel website, but it didi it again today with the same error code. Something i have noticed is that it mainly does it when in sleep mode or hibernate. Does that make a difference?
