Good evening,

I have recently been having an issue with my WiFi. Ive never had this problem before, not sure why it just started up. Anytime the laptop goes to sleep or is shut and re-opened, it loses the WiFi connectivity. I can manually reconnect with no problem, its just a hassle. Ive checked my drivers and made sure the auto-connect box was checked. Ive checked the power settings. The machine has been restarted, but nothing helps. I'm not sure what happened that changed the pc. Any help is appreciated!

Thank you.

Hello Greg, Thanks for responding. I ran the trouble shooter and it did not return any issues. I ran the driver update utility. I uninstalled Dell Wireless. I did not do a clean install of Win 7, frankly I didn't understand some of the steps. I wish they would write that stuff for readers who are not IT professionals. The issue still exists, but I discovered something interesting. The connectivity issue is isolated to my profile. The other two profiles do not have this problem? Why is that?

http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/219487-clean-reinstall-factory-oem-windows-7-a.html#post1839164 is written for average consumers who have used it a million times without a single complaint. If you have any questions you only need to ask them. The fact that you asked none and don't even know who wrote it makes me wonder....

You may have a corrupt profile. Create a new Admin level account for yourself and try it for awhile, moving your files over gradually until ready to delete the old one. Make sure all programs run under the new profile or reinstall them from it. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/181024-user-account-create.html

I'm not sure why you took offense to my reply, makes me wonder.... I guess I'll just contact some professionals instead of relying on amateurs on these forums. Thanks anyway, cheers!
