Help please! I'm getting BSOD in my brand new HP pavilion dv6.

I'm running a Windows 7 home premium x64 os,
on a HP pavilion dv6-6150ej LX243EA.
This is the original os that came with the computer.
Full spec. can be seen in my profile.

As posted in the title: this laptop is brand new. Just got it about two weeks ago.

I'm getting BSOD every day or two.

Steps taken so far:

1) I've updated Windows to the latest available updates (including the sp1 update).
2) I've updated my graphic driver to the latest driver available in the HP site.
3) I've installed Windows debugging tools in order to try and analyze the minidump files.
4) I've activated Windows Verifier, and set it to monitor ALL drivers. (until Windows crushed with a BSOD). Now if I try to activate the Verifier again, Windows will not load so I had to disable it altogether.
5) I've updated my bios to the latest version available in the HP site.
6) I've run memtest86+ (1 pass) with no errors.

That's all so far.
Attached here is the zip file that this forum requires: View attachment 184052

Also, here is a snapshot of data from the freeware SIW which is a system information tool:
View attachment 184056

This worries me, because it seems to me that the memory installed is not supported by this motherboard.
If this is true, how can this happen in a standard HP model?

Any help will be appreciated, as I don't want to send this computer back to where I bought it, to be fixed or replaced. I need it here, both for my studies and for work (which I do from home on this computer).

Note:
I don't know if it will be helpful to post this, or not, but I should mention that all BSODs I'm getting do not cause the computer to restart, but just to freeze after it dumps the memory to a minidump file.

Could you attach those minidump files here using the paperclip icon?
(you'll need to zip them up first)

As the computer is so new, I still think you should at least contact HP Support.

Depending on what sort of warranty you have you may be able to persuade them to ship you a replacement computer by courier (which I know from experience is their preferred delivery method) who would then take back your faulty computer.

At least you would have continuity this way, which would not affect your working regime.

Look forward to reading the outcome.

It's silly not to take advantage of any warranty you've got with your computer so you might as well get any problematic hardware replaced free of charge while you can. :)

Hey and thanks again to all the people who helped so far.

Unfortunately, the HP support process is advancing slowly and while they seem sure this is a software problem and try to pass me to Microsoft support, I am starting to believe that this is actually a hardware problem.

Anyway, I was hoping I could get some help from the seven forums gurus as well, to maybe speed up this whole process.

A bit more information:
After I have contacted the HP support, they have asked me to restore my o.s. in order to help and narrow down the cause of the blue-screens.
Reluctantly, I re-installed the windows 7 home premium 64bit o.s. after making a backup of all of my stuff on my portable 500Gb seagate HD.
Then I have downloaded and installed all of the latest available drivers from HP's website.
I have also updated windows with all of the latest updates.

I have also avoided, so far, from installing any software that I do not need for the time being, to try and "keep the o.s clean".

It's been two days from the re-installation, and already I had 2 BSODs. (Actually I had 3, but the 1st was probably fixed with a driver installation I applied, that was supposed to take care of that problem specifically).
I hereby attach the minidump of these BSODs for your review.

View attachment 186714

I hope you could help me with this. And thanks in advance...

HP are passing the buck. Even if Microsoft software is the problem (and I don't think it is) HP must provide support for any OEM software they have installed.

You need to be forceful and demand a repair or replacement - it's a brand new computer that is not fit for purpose.

Actually, seavixen32, I am not entirely innocent. After HP requested me to re-install the o.s., and since I wanted to be sure everything is done correctly, I have manually installed windows and deleted the HP partitions. I don't trust computers with heaps of useless software installed on then.
I think they've been offended by this and that's why they don't want to help me.
The problem is that I know that if I'll demand the computer to be repaired they will take it, and I'll be without a computer for a week at the least. What's more, they'll probably format the HD and re-install their partition and lose all my data, which I'll have to backup again...
I simply can't bother dealing with them.

As for zigzag's response:
I doubt it has anything to do with kaspersky, because I haven't used it for long.
In fact, I can say for certain that the first minidump file is from before I've installed kaspersky.
Before kaspersky I had Trend-Micro Internet security (but that was before I've re-installed the o.s.)

As for the harddrive it's standard procedure over there to simply slap in a new one with their stuff already loaded on it, and then re-purpose yours later and slap it into someone else's machine in the same manner.

Offended isn't quite the right word and to be fair, by removing their software, you have broken the terms of your guarantee.

Is it so difficult to do a factory restore and send it in for repair?

After all, you paid good money for this computer so just give them the chance to put it right.

If you mistrust these manufacturer's so much, wouldn't it be easier to build your own computer?
