It happened right after McAfee AV asked me to restart the PC to make it's updates effective. However, not sure if that caused the crash or not. I restarted the PC twice and both the times it crashed. So I started it in Safe Mode and then restarted it back to Normal mode and it did not crash after that. But still don't know what caused the crash especially when there is no way to read a ".dmp" file.

Is there anyway to decode it and find the root cause of the crash? With so many complaints against McAfee out there I wanted to find if that AV program is the culprit or not.

Thanks in advance !

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply.

I am not sure that McAfee is the cause, as it is not mentioned in the file - Instead usbvideo.sys is listed as the problem. First, try updating any webcam software that you have (you should find driver updates on Dell's Website: Dell - Drivers and Downloads)

Code:
pcouffin pcouffin.sys Wed Dec 06 03:39:30 [COLOR=Red]2006[/COLOR]
This driver does need to be updated - It is part of several different CD/DVD burning applications; so update any that you have.

Regards,
Reventon
