Help repairing.

Hey every one

Well short and simple I deleted my Windows media player 12 is it? From windows 7 and I simply can not install it because I have tried getting the files from some one else and it says you have a newer version and you can not install an older version,

So I need some help? I am not sure how to do a repair.

go into add remove programs, click on add windows features. and find it in that list uncheck. apply reboot repeat and check. reboot and it should be back

When i saw you asking about repair i thought you meant windows repair

Well I can't find what you have stated in add/remove programs, I accidently deleted it and the files are still on my computer and it won't give me access to delete them, and I can't install any new files, so i am just confused right now >_>

it will be under Control Pannel >> Programs and Features >> Turn Windows Features on or off >> Media Features >> Windows Media Player

Both of you guys are on the right track.

If he mucked in the actual WMP files then he may still need the Repair Install.

Back up your files first.
