Hello Sevenforums,

This problem is very frustrating, I'm tired transferring my games to my new laptop via USB (4GB since my grandma throw my 16 GB USB to the trash can -.-) I've got many LAN games and Online games on my PC (This one). But we can play LAN games together ; We play warcraft 3 and CS 1.6 Strike for now. The step I currently having problem is with Creating/Joining Homegroup on Windows 7 (This since my laptop [Asus] is windows 8) everytime I create Homegroup on windows 7 an error occur "Windows cannot create homegroup on this computer" But why? same when Joining. This is the only problem for now, How to fix it anyway? Please help me :(

One of the many glaring Homegroup bugs which I have yet to solve completely.

In many cases you can fix these types of problems by deleting all files in the PeerNetworking folder, you must do this on all machines that were connected to the Homegroup.

Path is C:\Windows\ServiceProfiles\LocalService\AppData\Roaming\PeerNetworking

You must also enable to show hidden files and folders at Folder Options in the Control Panel in order to see the AppData folder.

After that leave the old Homegroup from all machines then create a new one and rejoin.

If you have a certain machine that refuses to join the Homegroup "common problem" then create the new Homegroup on that machine and join this new Homegroup on all other machines you want in the Homegroup.
