Solved Help with an unkown device...
I've installed windows 7 home premium on a sony vaio laptop. I have an unknown device in device manager and I can't figure out what it is. I've been to intel's website and ran the checker there, all drivers are up to date. Any ideas would be helpful... TIA

The touchpad was listed under mouse as a PS2 compliant something, so I installed the drivers for that, now it's listed correctly as the Alps touchpoint. Still and unknown device though.

Its an Intel chipset driver i think, but which one I'm not sure...

Try updating all drivers.
have you tried windows update, that usually finds it if its reckonized, which your is!!

The chipset drivers are installed and working correctly. I have ran the Intel driver update utility and the wireless card and chipset drivers are current.
