Help with wireless problems on windows 7

Hi. First time to post here. Just had my lenovo y410 upgraded from vista to windows 7 recently. Encountered one big problem though. if i shut down my computer, the wireless on light does not light up and the wireless network does not function at all. Afterwards, when i hibernate the computer, then turn it on again. the light turns violet but I have to troubleshoot the wireless network for it to function properly.

I have tested this 3 times already. I have reinstalled the driver for wireless network but haven't reinstalled the broadcom netlink bec. i dont' know what it does.

Here are some other details of my computer and drivers.

Broadcom netlink TM Gigabit Ethernet
Intel (R) Wireless WiFi Link 4965AG

intel Core TM2DUO t5750
Windows 7 ultimate 32 bit

Can anyone help me?

oh dear,

does "upgrade" mean you went from Vista to Windows 7 without a clean install?

My cousin who is a computer geek did that "upgrade" so I assume that it should have been done properly. but I will check with him right now.
