You can install Windows 7 Ultimate if you have 9GB available (installer information). I would advise that you install the OS on the larger drive and use the smaller as a data drive for images etc as the redirection of installers to other drives can be troublesome.

Hello KOSOVA.

If you will you please post a snip/screen-shot of the entire disk management drive map with a full description as to which drive/partition is which, so we can see what you have, we may have another suggestion that you can try.

In the Windows start menu right click computer and click manage, in the left pane of the "Computer Management" window that opens click disk management and post a maximized snip of that.

I have 116 GB OS partition. I reinstalled OS yesterday, and today I have 58 GB left. Just Visual Studio + CS5 as big programs(+ Office). I haven't even installed one single video or sound editor yet (except TMPGEnc which is not that big).

I'd run Disk Cleanup and get rid of the Office and any of those other big program installation files. CCleaner should find even more.

I would not move programs to a second HD, as they write registry keys which integrate themselves to the OS and should be a part of the OS partition image.

An easier way to expand is to get a second HD and link named User account folder or User folders to a partition there: User Folders - Change Default Location

You are getting a lot of good advice. But I think a 14GB drive is pretty useless and 160GBs is not fat cat either. I would throw out the 14GB drive and buy a 500GB drive. i just got this Seagate Barracude 500GB from Newegg last week for $39.99. Then you will not be so squeezed.

Use 14 GB for Linux (Mint suggested if have no clue). And then if something happens to the other drive, you can copy the files from that partition to Linux or another Partition.
