Hey PPL, I have a windows 7 Pro.

Lenovo Thinkpad T61 Canada.

2 Duo CPU T7300 @ 2.00 GHz 2GHz

Installed memory (Ram) 4.00 GB

64 Bit Operating system

I have been using Firefox for a while now and over the last month it has been getting slower n slower to get onto the web!

I got onto Firefox 19 because it was loading at a pretty good speed...now its been slowly getting slower to connect onto the web.

Anybody got any ideas on this matter?

I have a lot of bookmarks and file on my tabs but again.....I have done the de-fragment and moved a lot of my files onto external drives, but it is still very slow.

I would say by the time I click on one of my Outlook files to get on the web it takes a good 30 seconds.

Thanks to all that reply, Ken.

sookepotthole,

I am unaware of your browsing activities, but have you ran a malware, spyware, and virus test?

sookepotthole, all responses will be here in the forum, no E-mail.

Please edit your post and remove the E-mail link as spammers troll web sites, including forums, looking for E-mail address to send their junk to.

What Add-ons are you using in Firefox? Have you tried disabling them via Firefox / Add-ons?

Try to clean your PC, uninstall any unneeded softwares, also if there are more files in the disk it will slow your PC, what is the size of those files that you moved to the external HDD? Try to use google chrome if you have it, like Ztruker said what are the add-ons in your firefox? If the entire PC is slowing down try to clean the fans, heatsinks, RAM, graphics card, processor, PSU, motherboard, and harddrive with compressed air. If you want to remove/touch some parts be sure to touch any metal that is connected to earth so it won't discharge any static electricity in the parts that you are trying to remove because it may short it and cause it to die.
