Hello,

I used a program to transfer my OS and the desired contents from my HHD to a new SSD drive. Everything is working well with the new SSD besides one thing, when try to save or access any files on the old HHD I get an "Access is Denied" error or something similar.

I tried right clicking on the HHD (now F) and going to properties>security> and changing permissions to allow all. I've also gone one step futher into advanced>owners and tried changing the owner to the name of the computer.

Any suggestions on what I should do? I just want to use the HHD as storage as my SSD is only 120 GB.

Thanks for your help.

You could try changing the ownership of the "F" drive to "System" or "Admistrators", just choose the account from the active OS. You may need to take ownership of the "F" drive.

Alternatively, you could just delete the partition on "F" drive and/or reformat the drive in the same, or other PC.
