Hi everyone broke screen no operating system please help thanks:)

Hi i have a hp g60 i bought it about 4 or 5 years ago and the screen is completely broke, you can't see anything on it and when i try to plug it in to an external monitor, it wont display it because i cant get to the desktop screen. It has no operating system i believe, it says like please reinstall windows using recommended settings is there anyway to basically get into it or get my info from my hard drive, or would there even be any info left since it has no windows?? if any of you brave souls can answer this it would help me out so much, thanks in advance

Sounds like you have a problem huh?
Have you tried a repair install? Here's a tutorial on how to do that if you haven't before :

The broken screen can be replaced (by you) with very little hassle. It shouldn't by itself be the cause of your problems.
