Solved Hide Protected Operating System Files Option Missing In Folder Options

The option is in the registry marked 0, but does not show up in folder options view tab.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Try merging this:

View attachment HIDE.reg

You might also check this value is empty

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\SuperHidden\Policy\DontShowSuperHidden]

Yes, there is no value under Policy\DontShowSuperHidden\
Can your attachment still be applied ?

Under folder Superhidden, Unchecked Value is a (1) and ValueName is ShowSuperHidden.

Hello Bej,

Merging the REG file from step 19 in the tutorial below should restore this option in Folder Options for you. It will restore all of the default registry values for this.
