Hide Time & Date In Taskbar

Hello all:
I know that I can hide the date in the taskbar by checking "use small icons" in the taskbar properties dialog, but it still shows the time. Is there a way to hide both the date and time in the taskbar? I've looked all over the web, but all of the little apps on offer don't seem quite legit.

Any ideas?

Hi siouxdax,

Right-click your taskbar and click 'Properties'. On the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties window, under Notification area click 'Customize...'. Click 'Turn system icons on or off' and look for Clock and its corresponding drop down menu. From there, choose OFF, and click OK.

Yes, but this also hides all tray icons. I want to hide just the clock and date.

If you follow the tutorial of Brink: http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/292-system-icons-turn-off.html you can see that next each of the different system icons is a little drop down box where you can choose to turn on or off the icons you want to be displayed or to be hidden from the taskbar.
