Hi, when I resize windows I get a considerable CPU hit, anywhere from 35% to 70%. My processor and GPU are decent so I'm not sure why this would happen, but it sometimes causes audio crackles and other glitches. I am on the Nvidia 260.99 drivers. Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance for any help!

There have been alot of issues with that version so I am hesitating. Maybe I'll update to 275.33. The driver I have is considered one of the stable ones.

I would start up task manager and watch what process is sucking up the cpu's percentage the most when you resize the window probably explorer but you could have something else that is causing it. Just make a note of the process.

Hi guys, thanks for the suggestions. Nothing found on malwarebytes scan. Also, in task manager, the app using the CPU is the app I am resizing. So it doesn't look like its a background process thing.

google chrome is the worst culprit. I see that you guys have nvidia cards. How is the CPU usage when you resize windows?

My cpu jumps to 10% to 13% when resizing a window which on my computer is normal.
