It looks like the "wlan" as mentioned in Latency Mon is the culprit. However, it may not actually be the LAN, but the traffic on the LAN.

Look at what is still active, as one of those could be what is causing it. What is in startup is the first place to look.

What motherboard do you have? If you have a Gigabyte Motherboard and have the EasyTune installed, that can cause the problem, although that has nothing to do with LAN/Internet.

An installed program that has an automatic updater is a possibility. I installed Google Chrome and was having problems with my recording studio. I ran the DPC Latency Checker and had high spikes. I uninstalled Google Chrome but still had the problem. I found when I installed Chrome it automatically installed a hidden Google updater program. I had to ultimately manually edit the registry to get rid of it.

If you have Dual LAN's on the motherboard (what is the actual motherboard?) try switching to the other Ethernet port.

I would also run a spyware program. Run a complete scan with Malwarebytes.

My motherboard is a Pegatron

I don't think google is causing this because i used it for a long time and this only happened since the last time i installed windows.

A scan is a good idea.

Do you know if I save my personal data and completely destroy the hard drive data, is there a chance that problems like this still happen?

The Pegatron motherboard suggests this is a HP PC or at least the motherboard from a HP??

One other thing I notice. You have Win 7 64 bit, but only 4GB of RAM. The main reason to use a 64 bit OS is that it will address more than 4GB of RAM. A 64 bit OS requires more basic memory than a 32 bit and thus less memory left for programs. This is probably not your problem, but something to consider.

Another thing, it shows the NVIDIA as the "Audio" and not your PC's sound card.

If you save your personal data, and there was some type of infection or malware, and it was not removed there is a chance it can re-infect when the data is restored. If you decide to do a new "clean" reinstall, run the DPC Latency mon before any applications are installed (just the basic Windows and internet) and see how that works. If its OK, start installing applications and check after each application install. I know this is time consuming but looks like what is needed to resolve this.

I won't be able to respond until tomorrow. I'm off to a music playing job this evening (I'm a musician)

Possible you will install the same stuff :) and it will be there, never know without trying. Better to first find why and do as you wish later. But that's me.

This is the brand of my computer https://www.wortmann.de/

The computer came with only 4 Gb of RAM and Win 7 64 bit, dunno why (when i can i'll want to get more RAM)

For Audio, i always did the same thing when it came to install drivers and such idk if i was doing something wrong

Tomorrow i might get a external drive so i can save what i need and destroy the rest, i've had some problems with the hard drive so i feel that cleaning it up might help. Still it would be helpful to find the reason why i have these DPC spikes. It might help me later or someone else, who knows

-Scan running-

Yeah if i don't find it before i delete everything after that when i install windows i'll have to check my DPC constantly to see if i install something that is making these spikes

Edit: I wished that windows 10 would come out tomorrow as i plan to get it, at least like that i would take out possibly 2 problems at once :p

Quick question ^^''

I wanted to see what i needed if i was going to destroy the hard drive data, and i decided to use DBAN "Darik's Boot And Nuke" but i would like to delete the partitions too (partition table i think). What i mean is after using DBAN i would have the entire hard drive as unallocated space, do you know if it does that ?

In relation to Win 10, the Preview version is available. Its pretty stable and close to the final version. I have my recording studio software and hardware installed, for testing, and it works OK - just like it does on Win 7 and Win 8.1. If I didn't have Win 8.1 setup with all my software on the PC I have Win 10 (on a separate hard drive) I would just upgrade the 8.1 to the Win 10 preview and go on. When the final Win 10 comes out, reports are that people with the Win 10 preview will get the final version free.

Well people with windows 7 will get it too for free, if i installed the preview version i guess that when the final version will come it, it will "download and install" and that would get to the same thing. I would install windows 10 preview and then when windows 10 comes out i would install it "again". At least, I think it's like that

EDIT: If with the preview version, when windows 10 comes out it would simply patch some stuff, i would consider it

I've been getting the Win 10 Preview versions for quite a while. Each version is a complete new version, not just patching. But, it keeps my applications and user data and I do not have to reinstall them.

Well, after a long time i finally got it working. Everything is fine now, no DPC spikes unless i update my drivers. I thought Iobit Driver Booster was good but if it didn't create a restore point i would be having problems again ^^''. Does someone know a safe way to update the drivers ? (In the Device Manager it always says it's updated so it doesn't help much).

Apart from that detail, there is only one more problem with the computer but for that i think i'll make a new thread to see if someone had this problem and fixed it or something like that. (Quick Explanation: League of Legends game freezes at login, i fixed it once somehow and the problem came back even after reinstalling Windows this time)
