how can i change my security sittings coz its sopping me from installing any exe file and its not showing any thing when i dubble click on an exe file Exadobe setup file) its like hidding exe file and block it from working

pleas help ASAP coz i need to install the Adobe to start working on my progect

If your user account is not an admin account, and there is one on the machine you may need to get their approval.

Hello alsharif and welcome to Seven Forums.

A lot depends on what kind of account you're using. The two basic kinds of accounts are Standard and Administrator.

With a standard account you can use most of the computer's installed programs. You generally cannot make software and hardware changes, access hidden system files, or make changes to the computer that affect other users. If you're using a standard account, you may have to provide an administrator's password before you're allowed to do certain things.

If you're sharing a computer and you're not the one who initially set it up, you probably have a Standard account. But if it's your computer and you set it up, you would have been prompted to create a user account which, by default, is an administrator account.

EDIT: Ken beat me to it. He always did have faster fingers on the keyboard! And uses fewer words!!

but its my labtop and i have one user its the admin but i have been playing with the security and safty things on the control panal stuf and i couldnet get it back as it was even with reset mode

Do you have a Restore Point that goes back prior to when you made the changes?

Try turning your User Account Control settings down to Never Notify. It could be a problem with the pop-up message asking you whether or not you would like to proceed.

it was this way befor and it was not working at all then i change it to ( always notify ) then the (do you want to allaw this program to make some changes ? ) appeares then i press yes then nothing happen its like i press ignore

Don't think this will help but it shouldn't hurt. Try running a System File Checker scan just in case you might have some damaged or corrupt system files. If it finds any problems run the scan 3 times rebooting in between each scan.

i think i cant repair my computer coz my repair CD its not with me its in my home land its ok i will send it to someone to fixit for me
