I have been looking all over the place, and I can not find a solution to my problem. I know there has to be a program to check my dump files on my computer but what is it?

I run an i7 processor and I tried finding some applications to help me with my random blue screens but, the newest x64 version on the windows websight isn't compatible with my processor (or so it says)

Can anyone here debug who has an i7 processor? If so, whats the programs I need and and tips would be great!

Thanks !

done, so now im guessing my dump files with save in the correct format for your debugging tool. So, whats the debugging tool you are currently using? And where can i get it?

I don't want to have to post a dump file everytime I have a BSOD, I would rather know how to do it. Give me a fish I will eat for a day, teach me to fish i will eat for a lifetime..haha

I looks pretty basic

I just need compatible stuff for windows 7 and my processor

Dude, Mayotruck, I can't thank you enough.

I've been searching online for days trying to figure out how to get info from these stupid .dmp files, and everything I find is either in Greek or telling you how to make sure the .dmp file was created correctly.

I don't want to know if it was created correctly...I want to check all these freakin' dump files I have from these BSOD's, haha. At least one of them has to be created correctly, am I right? Simple program, tells you what probably caused the crash, EXACTLY what I needed.

Thanks again.

No worries man I hope it will help.

For windows 7 make sure your making small memory dump files first:

Right click on My Computer and select Properties. Then select Advanced Tab on the left menu. Under the Startup and Recovery section, click on Settings. Make sure "Write an event to the system log" is checked and "Automatically Restart" is unchecked. In the drop down menu under "Write Debugging Information," select Small memory dump (256 KB)press ok and ok again. Then you must wait for anouther BSOD. After you reboot go to your new dump file located in C:/windows/minidump. and run the program I have located above.

Hopefully that helps you

Another thank you for listing the program above.

I'd had a few crashes over the last week or so - not enough to panic but enough to worry that one might happen in the middle of something important. I downloaded WhoCrashed, ran it and found, in simple English the cause - in my case HDMI audio drivers - and where to download the solution.
