How can I fix this: "invalid method (HTTP verb) is being used."
The page you are looking for cannot be displayed because an invalid method (HTTP verb) is being used.
When I used to sign on to my bank, things went smoothly.
Entered my user name and password and I was in.
About a week ago, things changed.
I enter my user name and password and get the error message above.
I called the banks help line and they were not helpful.
I went to the bank, they sat me down with one of their PC's and had me sign on.
It worked perfectly!
They told me the problem was on my PC and I need to get someone to help me.
I accept that but thought the problem must have been caused by something I did recently.
I removed LibreOffice (the most recently stable version) from my PC.
I had installed it about a day or two before this problem started.
Removing it did not fix the situation.
I then thought if I went back to a Restore Point, a week in the past, perhaps that would resolve the issue.
I didn't.
The reason it didn't was because it did not end normally.
Restore Point claims there is something preventing it running like Security Software which is stopping it doing what it does.
I tried to do what it recommended shut down WebRoot and tried to shut down Security Essentials.
I could not figure out how to shut down Security Essentials.
I tried to revert back one week with Restore Point with WebRoot shut down and the results were the same.
Restore Point 'again' claims there is something preventing it running like Security Software which is stopping it doing what it does.
I am stymied!
I'd have to take up residency in my bank if I want to check my accounts online.
I'd appreciate any insight / help on this issue as Googled results are for me, very complex and involve many confusing terms.
Best regards,
Mike Lynch
