How can I completely remove and uninstall all components of Chinese language input? I am not talking about 'display language'; I am talking about when I type into a Word document or email.
I used to write in Chinese and Japanese fairly often, but for quite a while I haven't had any use for Chinese. After a few months of not using Chinese, the Chinese input method starting imposing itself while I was trying to write Japanese.
The input methods for Japanese and Chinese are quite different, and the Chinese input system doesn't recognize a lot of Japanese words so the result was a mess. I was constantly forced to stop, delete the junk that had appeared on the page, toggle between languages several times (once wasn't enough) and start working again. I finally went to Languages > Keyboard, and removed the Chinese.
This seemed to solve the problem, but suddenly the Chinese input system started imposing itself again. Evidently "uninstalling" via Languages>Keyboard doesn't uninstall it; it merely hides it. When I go to the Input Languages it's not there
