Solved How can I know if my ASUS G72 supports USB 3.0?

I have an ASUS G72 notebook.
I am planning to use an express card to have 2 USB 3.0 ports on my notebook.
How can I know this will work?
Does my motherboard or BIOS have to support USB 3.0?
Does anyone know this will work or not?

Don't tell me to ask this question to ASUS Officials please.
Last time when I asked them if this notebook supports a total of 1 TB or 2 internal 1 TB HDDs inside (It has dual drive internal); they gave me replies like:

-I think it is 1 TB.
-It should be a total of 1 TB.

(These are official e-mail or live chat replies)

Till today, I still don't know if it will support 2 internal 1 TB SATA drives inside or not.

It attaches to the Sata bus. It will probably not work at it's full capacity (6Mb/sec) but at 3Mb/sec - but that is neither here nor there because a spinning disk cannot feed it at either speed.

Be warned though, USB3 does not give you a big advantage because the speed of the current disks is too slow (unless you attach SSDs to it). You will see maybe 30% better speed than USB2 in real life. In the measurements, however, you see a lot more. It is interesting to note that eSata is faster on most systems - also on my laptop where I have both, eSata and USB3.

Thank you for the reply and the link.
My next external drive will be an e-sata drive.
It is just just that I have a USB 3.0 drive now, and I want to check the speed. I can survive with USB 2.0 speeds, but the card will also give me 2 external ports. And the other reason was that I have never used an express card before, and I was wanting to know will it cause any problems with my BIOS, boot, or notebook.
Do you think it will help with the speed while moving/copying/backing up data from/to USB 3.0 from/to esata?
If that will make an advantage of speed, it will help to because I am backing up my data on my external drives too.

I think it will work OK and you certainly get faster transfer speeds. How much though is a question of trying. I have never tested from eSata to USB3. Only from my internal disk (which is an SSD) to eSata and USB3. I would think that eSata to USB3 is slower. But as I said, matter of trying. The USB3 Express Card does not cost a fortune. If nothing else, you will have 2 extra ports.
