How can I put two different FB pages on my Favorites on IE? I'm trying to figure out a way that my husband and I can each just click on a favorite or an icon and go to our FB page. When I tried to save each FB Timeline page with a different URL as a Favorite, one would come up normally but when you clicked on the other one, the Timeline was okay but the Home Page would be the other person's. I don't even know how that's possible. Does anyone have an answer for me?

I imagine you'd need to sign out of one account before you could sign into the other. I don't use FB, so forgive my ignorance. Do these pages require you to be signed in to FB, or can anyone view them when not signed in? I suspect you either are signed in on one account when trying to access the other, or have a cookie set, or both.

Try opening the one timeline, sign out of that account, then click on the other favorite and see if you can sign in there.

The way that Facebook saves who is logged in only allows for one user to be logged in, the only way that I know of to get around this is to have each of you use a different browser, or each of you have your own user account on the computer.

We want to avoid having to log in & out every time. We were hoping to have an easy way to do it. We will try the different browsers. Can you have 2 browsers open at one time & go back & forth between them? Could we Alt/Tab between them & go to our FB pages respectively?

Yes, but u will need to use 2 DIFFERENT browsers. U can't just open 2 windows of the same browser.

Excuse me for any typos, I'm typing this one-handed while eating a banana :D

Yes, I understood. I tried one in Google Chrome & one in IE. I opened one in IE & when I tried to open the other in Chrome with the other user name & password it brought up the user that was open in IE. It is the darnedest thing! There has to be a way around this. This shouldn't even be possible.
I hope you enjoyed your banana.:)

Try clearing the cookies/cache of Chrome.
It should work, there is no way that the cookies of Chrome and IE are linked.
Go to "chrome://chrome/settings/clearBrowserData" in Chrome (without the quotes), select "Obliterate the following items from: THE BEGINNING OF TIME, select EMPTY THE CACHE and DELETE COOKIES AND OTHER SITE AND PLUG-IN DATA.
And then clear. It should work fine afterwards...

That is true, IE and Chrome do share settings files, but they do not share cache.

Wait...they share settings files?
Do you mean the Internet Options? Because IE and Chrome each have their own options...

Two separate browsers should not share settings. I would sign out of both accounts, sign in to one with IE. Close IE but don't sign out. Now open the other in Chrome, if there is no cookie in chrome for the 1st account, it should ask you to sign in to the 2nd account. Now as long as you always use the same browser to sign in to the same account, there should be now cookie issue, and each browser should open it's respective account. Just make sure you are bookmarking/opening different accounts/urls. A Guy

When I change a setting within IE settings, it affects Chrome, specifically proxy settings, that is what I was referring to.

Ok :D
That's what I thought :P
But proxy settings and those shouldn't affect the cookies :)

It was my mistake, I figured since some of the settings like Proxy and the such, that they shared all settings.
