Sometimes if you take the drive apart and set the platters on a black cloth you can view the files with a strong set of reading glasses. The only downside to this is 2 fold ,
1) The drive will have no warranty
2) you would have displayed a level of incompetence second to none and should just go back to pen paper and a file cabinet.
Ok seriously . It has to be self evident how to open the enclosure it has to snap together or more likely then not be held with screws ,, or have you googled that specific model enclosure and looked how to open it that way ?
