How can I safely remove data from my C Drive?

Hi all,

I'm having some problems with my laptop. It started a few weeks ago which is around the time I ran a backup with Norton 360. I remember it asked me to save files on my computer and I chose the C Drive. Now I have no space no my C Drive which is stopping me from downloading stuff.
Also, when I play videos online, they keep stopping and will not play through at all. Is this a result of the C Drive being too full?
I do apologise for the post but I've very little knowledge about computers so I'm out of my depth.
Is there a way I can delete the backed up files without harming my computer? I don't even know which file to select from the C Drive. Any help would be much appreciated.

hi candika. if you click the start menu button, bottom left.
and click "computer" this will show you a page with the drives on it it will show you how much space you have left on the c: drive.

its best when doing a backup to store the backup off the computer on an external harddrive because if the computer has a serious problem you dont lose the back up.
im not sure where the location of the norton backup is when saved on c: drive.

someone here will be able to tell you soon.

it may be best to create another backup on an external then delete the one on the c: drive once you know where it is etc.
