Solved How can I unlock rogue employee's directories and files?

I have a rogue employee in my office.
Long story, but can't get rid of him just yet.
Confirmed he's running a business from inside my business.
Confirmed he's deleted a directory where I carelessly stored evidence of his internal theft from the business in the $30k range.
Confirmed activities on Craig's list/gay/porno activities.
ISP shut me down a few months ago for "spam" coming from our office.
We just installed a key logger to try to get info.
His office computer connected to mine via a switch.

Noticed today that he's installed IObit's file/folder locker.
I need to:
1. locate locked files and folders.
2. then one of the following:

• open them
• delete them
• copy them for further analysis

Any help would be appreciated.

PS: Clearly, I'm not very bright. You'd think I'd have better security and daily backups.

I think you should seek legal advice before you seek computer advice. If you can't remove him from the computer (yet? why?) then wait until you can.

As we have no way of knowing who owns the machine it would be illegal (according to site rules) for us to help you and might get us a warning, infraction, OR ban

This is not something that you ask about on a forum! If you are serious about this then you hire a professional who will be able to do this properly and, if necessary, testify in court.
