How do I change font size in Windows Live Mail?

I hate that the menu bar has been replaced by ribbons in Windows Live Mail. The only way I know how to change the font size of the messages in my Inbox home screen is to go to Tools > Options, which I cannot do because I don't know how to access the Tools menu without a menu bar. Please tell me how to view/change my options with this new ribbons system. Thanks so much.

Hi Tracy,

Click the nameless blue button on the left hand side of the ribbon.
Click Options.
Click Mail...
Activate the Compose tab.
Click Font Settings... to the right of Mail.
You can set the default font, font style, font size and font color here.
Click OK twice.

Very easy
First change the font to larger by doing: options-mail-compose. Then copy the mail that is in small letters and mail it to yourself, Voila its easy to read it now. Or use any other program to enlarge!

Tagging on to this very old thread, but the subject is exactly right.
I'm trying to change the Compose (using HTML) font size. Using Option/Mail/Compose I can set Calibri 11pt but compose text remains at 10pt. The font size dropdown under Messages when you highlight text only gives 8 10 12 14 18 etc.
If I set 16pt the size used is 14pt, so Live Mail seems to apply the nearest lower size in the dropdown options. Typing 11 into the font size dropdown, which works in some non-MS apps doesn't work either.

I suspect there's no way to override this, but it's a bit weird that 11pt is an option in Option/Mail/Compose if it can't be applied. Thanks for any suggestions.
