I installed Win7 HP and some how named the PC and my network or user name the same.

The PC name is Wilife and the user or log in name is Wilife. I want to change the user name to John like all the other stations on my network.

Thanks, Maybe I am phrasing it wrong or don't understand what I want to do.

I use a wired and wireless network with 4 stations. I have all of the log in names set to john and the passwords the same. So when I go into one from the other there is no asking me for a log in and PW.

Well I just upgraded an XP machine to Windows Seven and some how got the login name set to Wilife. So now when I want to look into it from another machine it prompts for the Wilife name. John does not work. I DID name the PC Wilife.

In My computer/users the user name is also Wilife (with a lock icon). My windows login user account name is John like its supposed to be.

Where did I go wrong and how can I straighten it out?
