Solved how do I change windows7 back to default

By accident I right click on a desktop icon and selected the "open with" program to internet explorer. Everything on my desktop and taskbar changed to the IE icon. How do I get my program back to windows7 or to the default...

Sounds like you changed the .lnk extension,

See if downloading the .lnk reg file from here,

Follow the instructions to merge the reg file and see if it fixes it.

If all else fails, do a System Restore to before you made this change.
