How do I create a 16 bit application in batch or something

Hello SF users! So I was recently looking at DOS(16 bit apps) and i wanted to make one too, but how do I that?

It depends on which languages you know and what do you want to accomplish. For such an old environment, C compilers are common, Basic was somewhat known too, and Pascal too (and if you don't fear assembly, it is another choice too).
It just reduces to finding a compiler for the chosen language and do a bit of research of the APIs available.

Bat files already existed in DOS and share a similar syntax of the current ones, but with a much more limited feature set. Also, only very trivial things can be achieved with them so you most likely will want something more serious.

BTW, whats your idea? What do you want to achieve?

I want to try and make a 16 bit application and do experiments.
