How do I cut down on the pre boot screens

I have a Sandy Bridge which would boot much faster if it didn't show those details and lists of numbers etc before it gets to the Windows flag.

I have eliminated most of that in the Ivy Bridge with the new EUFI but this is the old Award software one and now I have had a look through but really don't see anything that makes real sense to me.

I have enabled quick boot the order is right but then I have lists of options ie the PCI ones that could for all I know get rid of those annoying posts.

Anyone point me in the right direction please?

The board is a Gigabyte GA-H67-UD2H-B3.

Since you have enabled the Bios Quick boot.. You can also enable the OS quick boot via Gigabyte's SMART 6 software as well as the SMART Quickboost to Turbo

Under "Init Display First" select Onboard or the appropriate PCI (if you have an graphics card) to use as the first display.

Under "Integrated Peripherals" > "Onboard H/W 1394" .. set it to Disabled if you dont use firewire.

These maynot make considerable speed boost... but might help.

Just a general word of caution : these Gigabyte utilities have been know to cause BSOD's in the past, certainly on earlier Gigabyte models. Perhaps that has changed now, but I thought I might just mention it.

thanks golden... i know that.. I was in 2 minds about posting that here... but since ICit2lol is one of us.. he know's the problems associated with that and... well what are we here for !! ;)

Thanks fellas I maybe might just leave well enough alone until I get a few spare moments as I did have a few problems when I first built this machine with the BIOS stuff and some and I learnt my lesson real quick;).
