Solved How do I fix "security or firewall blocking the connection?"

After installing a Firefox update I cannot connect to the internet on my desktop. I am online because I can get Livemail. I have also tried using IE and still cannot connect
I've run the diagnostic..."Security or Firewall blocking the connection..."
I use Norton 360 which could be the problem, but I cannot open it.

Any help or ideas would be appreciated.

where did you download the updated firefox , or was it an in house firefox update?
i would do a system restore and then download firefox from the mozilla download site

It was an in house update. Tried System's Restore, but still having problem, so I can't connect to internet with any browser. I'm now trying to reinstall Norton 360 and see if I can get it to open.

Problem fixed. I was able to reinstall Norton 360 and all is well.
