How do I format my hard drive

Hi people

Need some advice, I recently re-installed win 7 ultimate because I wanted to clear my c: drive, but for some reason it installed on partition drive D:.
Now when I turn on the pc I have two options of which win 7 to load.
I want to format my c: drive but in disc management it won't highlight the option.
How do I reformat my c: drive

Use windows and delete the other partition.... then reinstall your windows and incorporate the unpartitioned space
