Yesterday an information panel appeared from nowhere on the top LH corner of my screen when I use the internet, Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. I don't know how to get rid of it. My son gave me some instructions which started by telling me to click 'run' on the 'start' menu. There is no 'run' on the 'start' menu. Help!

Hi and welcome to the Forum.
Just click "Start" at the bottom left of your creen and in the box thatsays "Search programs and files" type Run. Thn click Run in the small window that opens.
I have no idea what your son has suggested you do but it could be that your battey is dying!
