How do I get rid of these balloons on the task bar?

How do I get rid of these balloons on the task bar?

right click on them and then click "unpin from taskbar"

I have nothing pinned to the taskbar. That's the quick launch menu.
Anyway, I'm referring to the yellow pop-up balloon. In the picture, "Microsoft Excel - equivalent.info.xlsm".
