Hi Everyone!!

I refuse to quit!

For the missing background information to this new question:

This new issue:

See prior thread called: http://www.sevenforums.com/backup-r...-pe-lost-info-search-no-find-inmythreads.html

I did all the steps listed in Post # 7 for the Windows AIK Installation.

I need to do this to complete the AOMEI Program Backerupper Rescue Boot Disk with its Windows PE environment for rescuing the computer in the event of a catastrophic failure or loss of data.

I opened up the Windows AIK .iso Disk I created on a DVD burner with Roxio.

Only one choice... "click" on the box to open

WAIK HELP INSTALL 1 PS18160.jpg

WAIK HELP INSTALL 2 PS18161.jpg

WAIK HELP INSTALL 3 PS18163.jpg

Then what??? lots of choices here.. I choose to read the step by step white paper
at this address:: View attachment Step-by-Step Basic Windows Deployment for IT Professionals TEXT DOC REMOVES ALL FORMATTING.txt

My mind
has been
totally
blown
away!

(sorry for the one word lines.... how else can I explain this is what the professional IT people I have associated myself with years (I'm a computer USER!! not IT) and they talk in this language 100% of the time and get paid yearly salaries 100K and upwards to do so!)

I am not stupid.. I can read and understand lots of this, thanks to lessons from the IT people over decades......

But now I'm first time in my life facing a bull in a bull ring all by myself....
I'm armed and ready.... I got a tiny red square and a toothpick....
Do YOU think I'm ready to tackle this kind of an operation all by myself????

Saving everyone lots of trouble explaining things.. I can read this and understand it.

Here in Screenshot:

WAIK HELP INSTALL 0 PS18171.jpg

Underlined in RED
IS the answer... "Unintended installation" item..
But where is it hiding?

I see sectrion saying navigate on the DVD to "StartCD" but I did it. and the DVD Kept running and running and nothing else happened. I got frightened I did something wrong and tried to cancel the operation... All I could do after 15 minutes of frantic pushing buttons was to manually EJECT the DVD and there it is .. outside of the comupter and I wrote this question for someone to read through and figure out:

Question: How do I do it?

WAIK HELP INSTALL 4 PS18164.jpg

WAIK HELP INSTALL 5 PS18165.jpg

WAIK HELP INSTALL pre 6 PS18170.jpg

WAIK HELP INSTALL 6 PS18169.jpg

That answer appears to be hidden in all this complex computer lingo and language (see in red underlines) and Red Circles I have NO IDEA how to do or find these items and Thunderbolts in Orange---mean I DO NOT and CAN NOT have these items for financial or other reasons---so how can I complete the process?

I'm just not rated "A+" Certified technician (If I remember the CompTIA. testing system/rating system) for Windows 7!

Thanks for reading all of this... sorry for too many Screenshots and red underlining for a non "A+" Computer technician here!

Install the WAIK or extract the Imagex.exe from the WAIK and install that. Then create the AOMEI recovery drive. I just did that. Took 3 minutes.

One word--Success!

Hi whs:

Success!

I followed what you said to do in Post #2... everything worked perfectly.
For others reading this in future with questions:

Here are the two screenshots of successfully Installing the WAIK and creating the Boot Rescue AOEMI CD Disk.

W 7 WAIK INSTALL COMPLETED PS18197.jpg

W 7 WAIK AOMEI Boot Disk Created Successfully PS18209.jpg

Also here is what AOMEI looks like when you actually boot it up. (fuzzy real camera lens there) It then goes to the familiar menu I've posted before in Post #1.

W 7 WAIK AOMEI Boot Disk RUNS SUCCESSFULLY 3-8-15 PS18224.jpg

Many thanks for your patience whs in reading everything and figuring out what I actually need to do.

Thanks!!

Glad you got it working.

It only asked for WAIK because it can't find winre.wim on your HD.

Winre.wim

Hi SIW2!

I am always curious as to "why"... so I searched for this "winre.wim" program.

I got this!! Screenshot below shows something called SSR part of my old Ghost Program that mysteriously "vanished" !! (Maybe I saved something off the web, from a question I asked the Norton Community before I came here.... I do try the direct resources first!)

W7 WAIK winre-wim MISSING PS18229.jpg

SO there is still parts of the old Norton Program floating around the computer... but I need to know their exact location to delete them properly.... with over 10,000 files (I've seen the list in past) its a task no "human" could ever accomplish---that is why there is "uninstall"

But of course "Norton Ghost" is no longer listed as one of my programs! Remember my first posting here... It mysteriously vanished totally (desktop icons and start program listing both gone!)

So of course... its impossible to press "remove" or "uninstall" program. And since Norton no longer provides on web delivery of Old/New Norton Ghost 15, you can't get the "uninstall" part of the program to "uninstall" it and save space on the HDD! by its removal, since I cant use it anymore.

A good Mystery!!! I like Mysteries..... but solving them is the goal, right?

Thanks, but......

But doesn't that one remove every Norton product? The phone guys have used it while helping me from Symantec.... then they know how to replace back the subscriptions like NIS (Norton Internet Security) 360 etc that I want to keep using!

Yeah, you would have to reinstall NIS. Maybe it's not worth worrying about it. It is possible that some of those files you see (supposedly from Ghost) are used by NIS.
